Data Virtualization
Novahead has the ability to view data from disparate sources regardless of where the data actually resides. This means that Novahead is software and hardware agnostic. Decision-makers don't care how many servers there are or where they are because the data coming over the phone or PDA appears to be coming from a single virtual server. This includes data from EAI applications (CRM, SCM, and so on) integrated with legacy systems and business-process rules. Xponential Server provides bi-directional access and update capability to virtually any data source on any system platform.
Any Data
Novahead solutions can be deployed on virtually any system platform and will deliver data to laptops, desktops, or wireless devices. Organizations can implement a combination of real-time data access with 'loosely-coupled' messaging services. Data sources may include relational databases, such as DB2, Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.
Any Device
Novahead applications can be delivered to multiple devices including desktops, laptops, pda's, e-tools, cell phones, or other applications. Adding new devices for an application is easy using innovative dynamic pipelining. Devices are classified by capabilities. Screen size, memory, processor speed, connection type, and operating system are taken into account for the data presentation. Therefore, phones that have wap/wml1.3 capabilities (like hundreds of phones currently on the market) would take one data presentation format, while a web browser might take another. Security by device is also supported. For example, a user that has delete privileges to a record may only be granted read while on a cell phone.
Wireless & Live
Wireless connectivity is included in core product, not an add-on. Wireless connectivity to your enterprise data will provide you with live information for decision-making. You no longer need to download enterprise data to your portable wireless device. Your data is secure should you lose your device, as there is no data stored in the device's memory and more timely information is available for critical decisions. Data is presented live to the consumer device. There is no need for download or synchronization of data to the device. This eliminates long downloads or large device memory requirements.
Secure
Xponential Server incorporates a comprehensive security package. The first component written was the security model. All aspects of the system are built around the security model. Security and encryption are central to this server software. Xponential ensures that information is secured at a contextual, transport, and data layer. Xponential checks every request against a private object outside the general memory pool. This ensures that every individual or group is only allowed access to data, where they have been granted privileges. The Xponential security model can work in conjunction with database or LDAP security. Additional security can be added as needed. For example, Smart Cards, Certificates, Bio-metric security can easily be incorporated into the system. Open source or proprietary encryption can be included to further secure the data.

Open Standards
The needs for a standards-based approach in creating solutions is recognized in most medium to large companies. XML is the structural interface that Xponential uses for data definitions, SQL creation, business rules, actions, and final output. With the use of DTD's (Document Type Definitions) and XSD (Extensible Schema Definition) Novahead can integrate with any XML enabled application or applications can integrate with Xponential. Novahead does not use proprietary API calls or scripting to deliver functionality. Using XML further enhances productivity and data exchange when new systems or hardware come online. Processes, queries, and display formats may be modified using a simple text editor. Xponential's core technology is based on the Java 2 platform. Organizations can draw on a large number of experienced Java programmers to enhance and extend the capabilities of the system. Novahead even exposes interfaces to core functionality. Novahead Beans extend the Xponential server through the use of custom developed java classes. Xponential can also utilize pre-built applications or enhance web development through the use of JSP, Beans, tag libraries and other Java enabled services.
